About Yaitza
From Victim ➡️ Victor
“As much as these traumas were a part of who I was,
who I am … I was ready to keep moving forward.”
My Story...
I have had my share of personal challenges in my life.
At the age of 15, I became a lupus survivor
after almost succumbing to the disease.
At 30, my life was struck by suicide after my then husband,
and father of my son, took his own life after
battling with undiagnosed high functioning depression.
My name became synonymous with
strength, courage, and bravery
amongst friends and colleagues alike.
And yet, I always felt like I was undeserving.
To me, my biggest accomplishment
was being a 𝐒𝐮𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐯𝐨𝐫.
Until I realized that I wanted to do more than just 𝘴𝘶𝘳𝘷𝘪𝘷𝘦.
About ARISE
Experiencing a suicide loss fundamentally changed
the way I viewed loss, grief, resilience, and, ultimately, life.
Having been no stranger to adversity,
I found myself in the midst of paradigm shift and
-- after several years of introspection and healing --
ready and able to provide others with the
tools and support needed for meaningful healing.
